Bush Kin Tea

“Up the ante!”

This delicious blend is the Great Antipodes Tea. How many antis can you get in one blend? Bush Kin Tea is really delicious and a great immune system support, being super high in anti-oxidants thanks to all four ingredients. Regular use may contribute to the healing of chronic infections.

Geraldton Wax contains polyphenols and flavonoids which can help reduce inflammation. The leaves contain natural anti-fungal properties, as well as iron, which helps with wound healing, and the unique citrus & honey-like taste encourages a calming state of being.

Cistus incanus/Rock Rose is a Mediterranean plant and has an earthy, slightly floral & bitter taste, so it is complemented nicely with the natural citrus and mint flavours of the Aussie bush. Cistus contains high polyphenol content and flavonoids, phenolic carboxylic acids and sesquiterpenes, making it an anti-oxidant powerhouse that rivals green and ginger tea. It is anti-spasmodic, anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial and anti-fungal. Alone it is a complete treatment for chronic persistent infections, as it is a potent borreliocidal herb, bacterial biofilm buster and anti-retroviral remedy. AND when consumed regularly, it helps to prevent tick bites!

Lemon-scented Tea Tree offers potent anti-oxidant, anti-microbial, and anti-inflammatory properties that boost the immune system and aid respiratory health. It helps relieve stress, improves sleep, and assists with digestive issues due to its calming citrus aroma and chemical composition. It possesses antiseptic and anti-fungal properties, and is nutrient-dense with minerals such as zinc, magnesium and calcium, while providing a clean, bright citrus taste.

Native River Mint is widely valued as a carminative, meaning it helps to soothe the stomach and digestive tract. It is rich in phenolic compounds, including rosmarinic acid and neoponcirin, which offer anti-inflammatory and potential anti-tumour effects. It has antiseptic, antibacterial and anti-microbial properties.

How to Prepare as a Healthy & Refreshing Tea:

After boiling the water, let it cool slightly before pouring onto the herbs in your teapot or cup; this allows for a more balanced flavour extraction. Use 1–2 teaspoons per cup, and let the herbs steep for 5–10 minutes before drinking.

How to Prepare as a Medicinal Tea:

Add approximately 2–3 spoons of Bush Kin tea leaves to 800ml–1 litre of fresh water. Bring the herbs to a boil, then simmer for 5–10 minutes and let cool down. Start with a minimum of 3 cups per day, increasing over time to 6–8 cups per day. Drink warm or chilled throughout the day. It can be stored in the fridge in a covered glass container for 2–3 days.

You can also reuse the same tea leaves again within 24 hours (depending on surrounding temperature). After your first brew, cover the pot with a lid and store at room temperature, then reheat when ready, simmering for a little longer the second time round.
